What I Do
Development
In my years working on my own and in-house at various production companies, I’ve created, developed and pitched numerous shows and IP – many of which went on to get network greenlights. I’m always working on creating new show ideas for all different markets. I can consult on any project that needs help getting to the next level, write pitch and development decks and create show bibles.
Show Running
As an Executive Producer, Series Producer or Supervising Producer, I’ve overseen the development, pre-production, production and post-production of all different types of shows – live studio sports shows, kids shows, prank shows, home renovation shows, competition shows, docu-series, even scripted animation.
My strengths are building and leading production teams and finding the most creative and entertaining way to tell the stories I’m trying to tell. I always have a clear vision for the show I’m producing and I know how to carry that vision through from the field to the edit suite – a place that I thrive in.
Directing
I cut my teeth early on as a director by field producing segments for various magazine shows. This gave me a ton of experience in shaping stories in the field and then in the edit suite – a skill that many unscripted directors don’t get access to anymore. This experience has allowed me to become both a creative and efficient story-teller, whether I’m directing comedy, kids content or any sort of lifestyle or factual show.
My strengths as a director lie in my ability to tell stories both visually and through some well honed interviewing skills. I’ve also become known for my ability to get the best out of on-air talent, where I’ve had the privilege to direct seasoned pros and develop up and comers who might be fronting a show for the very first time.
Writing
My experience as a writer started while working in sports television, where I was consistently producing segments that needed to be written, edited, and put on the air, all in the same day.
Over the years and on nearly every show I’ve worked on since, I’ve written more VO and narration scripts than I can count, and in the voices of so many different types of on air talent. My keys are keeping it concise, always entertaining and never cliché.
Some of the most creative and exciting times I’ve experienced as a writer have been in heading up writers’ rooms for numerous different comedy prank shows, sketch comedy shows, and even animated musical shows.
