About Me
I’m an Emmy and 6 time Canadian Screen Award-nominated Producer/Director who’s made a career out of turning big ideas into TV shows that people actually want to watch. Over the years, I’ve worked on some of North America’s most popular and critically acclaimed series – proof that watching an unhealthy amount of television as a child really does pay off!
I started out in sports TV but these days, I live mostly in the reality and unscripted world, producing and directing shows like Style By Jury, The Second City’s Next Comedy Legend, The Adrenaline Project, Brother vs. Brother (starring The Property Brothers), and Play It Forward: Game On, just to name a few. No matter what I work on though, I tend to always find myself back in the Kids & Family space, a place where I really seem to thrive.
Somewhere along the way, I became one of the go-to producers of hidden-camera television. After producing the prank series Freak Encounters for Animal Planet, I went on to create, develop and produce the hit YTV prank shows Extreme Babysitting and Undercover High – the latter earning an International Emmy Award nomination and a lifetime appreciation for pulling the wool over people’s eyes in the name of good, fun television. More recently, I developed and produced the Canadian version of the famous Japanese format Old Enough! (yes, ANOTHER hidden camera show), which picked up seven CSA nominations in its first two seasons. If that wasn’t enough, I also once decided to dive blindly into scripted animation, when I created and produced the short, musical series CANAdooDAday, which went on to take first place at the prestigious Prix Jeunesse International Festival.
I like to think I’m known for the creative and fun approach I take to every show I work on. I have one rule – “make them laugh and keep them entertained”. It’s a mantra I try to bring to every project I work on. I have a knack for building and leading really strong production teams, and for bringing out the best in the on-air talent I work with. I do it all – taking shows from inception to development to production and through all stages of post-production (where I love to craft a show into what it really can be).
Oh, I also really love what I get to do for a living.
